Launched by the National Association of Workforce Boards, the Workforce Investment Works website aims to help policy makers understand the relevancy of both the public and private investments being made in human capital development.  By detailing examples of success and innovation the site centers on storytelling to:

  • Help America understand the value proposition of workforce-funded programs and services.
  • To generate support of workforce funding through social media.
  • To help build the capacity of workforce stakeholders in using consistent, on-point messages to bring awareness around the repercussions of cutting investments in job training and education.

How do workforce stakeholders leverage the Workforce Investment Works website?

The website is being used to support the Campaign to Invest in America’s Workforce in its efforts to educate policy makers and others about the importance of workforce funding.  A special section of the website has been designed specifically for partners and members of the CIAW campaign, allowing them to post success stories, customer testimonials and innovations about their organizations, their members, and various constituencies.
